At Kahurangi we are all about bringing people together — helping our customers discover great value, premium wines to share with friends.
Our story began in 1973 with the planting of our Riesling vines — some of the oldest in the South Island. The Kahurangi brand was born in 1998 and now brings together four families with a shared desire — to bring people wines they will love.
We get excited about every vintage, but also about those special discoveries that add something new to our collection. If our customers find as much delight in our wines as we do, then we are doing a great job.
Our Growers
Our Nelson wines capture the essence of the region we love. Every season, our winemakers work with a select group of local growers, sourcing the very best grapes from three distinct microclimates.
The heavy clay loams of the Moutere Hills, the maritime influences of the Kina Peninsula, and the alluvial soils of the Waimea plains each add their own character to our quality Kiwi wines.
