We gather grapes from various sites across the Nelson region, including the Waimea Plains with its rich alluvial soils and the Moutere Hills known for their intense clay loams. Nelson’s cool maritime climate enables us to create distinctive wines, while Motueka soils, coastal breezes, and ample sunshine hours provide an ideal setting for developing expressive, aromatic varietals
Tasting Notes
Concentrated and layered, this wine opens with aromas of nectarine, baked lemon and grapefruit, intertwined with roasted cashew, brioche and subtle French oak. The palate is rich and mouth-filling, with impressive depth of fruit, fine texture and well-integrated barrel complexity. A long, poised finish highlights both power and finesse
